Welcome
Welcome to the Dubochet Center for Imaging
The Dubochet Center for Imaging (DCI) is a collaboration among EPFL, the University of Lausanne, the University of Geneva, and the University of Bern, offering a comprehensive platform for cryo-electron microscopy (cryo-EM) research.
DCI Bern: Specialized Imaging at the Cellular and Molecular Level
DCI Bern specializes in high-resolution cryo-EM and provides advanced support in focused ion beam (FIB) milling, cryo-correlative light and electron microscopy (cryo-CLEM), tomography, and single particle analysis. Our facility is equipped with cutting-edge instruments, including the Aquilos 2 cryo FIB-SEM and Titan Krios G4 cryo TEM, enabling detailed structural analysis across a wide range of biological and cellular samples. The DCI-Bern instruments are also part of the Microscopy Imaging Center (MIC) of the University of Bern. The MIC offers a wide range of additional imaging modalities for all projects that do not require cryo-electron microscopy.
